About Us
At Remember Who You Are Dobermann Kennel, an FCI registered kennel, our mission is to raise healthy, well-balanced Dobermanns with exceptional care and dedication.
From day one, our puppies are nurtured with love, both from their mothers and our family, ensuring they grow into confident and capable dogs. With a focus on outstanding genetics and early socialization, we prepare our puppies for success as sport companions or reliable guard dogs. Our priority is finding the right working homes where they can thrive and reach their full potential.
We try our best to find the best homes for our puppies. We want them to be part of the family and have a great, long healthy life with their new owners.

Socialized and trained from a very young age and with good genetic material, these puppies will be able to compete with ease with some of the greatest names in the world someday.
Panagiota Petrou

I consider myself an animal enthusiast! From a young age, I was drawn to nature and animals, always finding joy in their presence. Growing up in a small apartment with my three siblings, we had a family dog, though it never lived indoors. My father, like many traditional Cypriot men, was an avid hunter. He kept German Shorthair Pointers for hunting and occasionally showed them in conformation competitions. I developed a deep admiration for the breed, a love that has stayed with me to this day.
As a child, I dreamed of becoming a zoologist or a veterinarian—anything that would allow me to work with animals. That passion stayed with me until one day, I stumbled across an advertisement for "How to Become a Dog Trainer." It was something I had never considered before, but it immediately sparked my interest. From that moment, I devoured every book and website I could find on the subject. Eventually, I traveled to Greece to study and officially begin my journey as a trainer.
My training journey began with a Belgian Shepherd Malinois named Chanel. Together, we worked from scratch and achieved IGP2. Chanel was an incredible dog, and I desperately wanted to buy her. However, my teacher declined, as she was part of his breeding program. It was heartbreaking to part ways with her, especially as my time in Greece was coming to an end. Instead, I was offered another opportunity: to purchase Aby, a 5-year-old Dobermann bitch trained by a fellow student who had already passed IGP2.
Aby was known for being difficult, and building a bond with her wasn’t easy at first. She was a strong-willed dog, and our relationship required time and patience. But I decided to give her a chance, and we traveled back to Cyprus together. Aby became my shadow, always by my side, and slowly, we forged an unbreakable bond. People had called her stubborn, but I realized she wasn’t difficult—she had simply never experienced true love or the security of a dedicated owner.
Aby became my soul dog, and it was through her that I fell in love with the Dobermann breed. I discovered how unique they are—unlike any other dog. A Dobermann has to truly love you to reveal its full potential, and once they do, the connection is incomparable.
When Aby turned 6 ½, I knew it was time to welcome another Dobermann into my life. I began researching the breed more deeply, studying bloodlines, health, and temperament. My search led me to a breeder in the Czech Republic, where I chose Fury, a remarkable female who would eventually become the foundation of my kennel.
Tragically, not long after, an accident took Aby from me. Losing her was devastating, but it never dimmed the passion she ignited in me for the breed. Fury helped me through my grief. I poured my heart into training her, and she became my best friend. Together, we achieved IGP3, and it was then that I made a decision: the world needed more Dobermanns like Aby and Fury—healthy, balanced, and full of heart.
This is where my journey with the breed truly began, and it’s a passion that continues to guide me every day.

What is "Remember Who You Are"?
Remember Who You Are is an officially registered kennel under the Cyprus Kennel Club. Our breeding program is relatively new, and we take great care in selecting the right pairings for our dogs. As a result, we don’t always have puppies available. If you’re interested in welcoming one of our puppies into your home, you’ll need to complete our puppy questionnaire. You can find the link to this form on our website, along with detailed information about the process of applying for a puppy.
Our focus is on breeding working Dobermanns with excellent character, high intelligence, and trainability. Every pairing is carefully chosen to ensure the best possible temperament, health, and working potential in the puppies. Owning a puppy from us means owning a piece of our hearts, and we are committed to finding homes that will provide them with the love and life they deserve. If you are serious about adopting one of our puppies, please understand that we have a rigorous screening process to ensure the best match between our puppies and their future families.
The purpose of our kennel is to bring the classic Dobermann back to life—healthy, balanced, and with the mental and physical stability to excel in work and life. Seeing the decline in the breed’s health and temperament today breaks our hearts. Many Dobermanns suffer from severe health issues and unbalanced temperaments, and the breed is losing its original courage and protective instincts. As the only breed specifically designed for personal protection, Dobermanns should embody bravery, loyalty, and stability. Sadly, this is often no longer the case.
We aim to be part of the solution by breeding Dobermanns that excel in all four critical areas: health, temperament, workability, and conformation. While achieving this balance is no easy task, we are dedicated to contributing to the preservation and improvement of the breed.
What sets us apart from many other breeders is our focus on producing working Dobermanns that can thrive in IGP sports or any other discipline. On our website, you’ll find proof of our commitment: all our dogs are health-tested, titled in conformation shows, and proven in the working world (IGP). We also share videos showcasing our dogs not only working but enjoying life, demonstrating their balanced, well-behaved nature.
